The art of Nina Uccello is created with a free hand pencil drawing technique, using conte pastel pencils on toned canson pastel paper. The drawings are then reproduced as giclee prints which the artist enhances with colored pencil and at times calligraphy and acrylic painting done over the reproduction. The subject matter is varied, and includes Charleston scenes, lowcountry coastal scenes, as well as inspirational and whimsical pieces.
