Welcome to the Charleston City Market, one of the nation’s oldest public markets and the cultural heart of Charleston. We are home to more than 300 vibrant entrepreneurs, and we are open every day of the year except December 25th. No matter what time of day or season you plan to visit, there is something to see, do, taste, and take home as a souvenir from the Charleston City Market!
CHARLESTON CITY DAY MARKET
The Day Market is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Our current hours for the open air market and Great hall are 9:30am- 5pm everyday.
CHARLESTON CITY MARKET NEIGHBORHOOD
Parking is plentiful and the surrounding neighborhood is filled with fabulous places to eat (be sure to try a slice of the famous 12-layer Ultimate Coconut Cake from Peninsula Grill), walking and carriage tours, specialty shops (like the newly opened Black Dog), and award-winning hotels (check out this brand new Charleston City Market Suite), so make plans to spend an entire day—or weekend— exploring the Charleston City Market.
Our friends at JetBlue featured the Charleston City Market in their new video.
Watch and see how many times you recognize sights, sounds, and smiling faces from the market!
“The eclectic, revolving and evolving wares that can be found at The Charleston City Market create a fun and exciting shopping atmosphere that keeps both visitors and natives returning to peruse the new items every few months or so.” — Charleston’s Finest
